American Medical Alert (Long Island, New York) a provider of remote health monitoring and 24/7 communication services that enhance care, accelerate response times, improve operational effectiveness and deliver sustainable patient services, reported the completion of its acquisition by Tunstall Healthcare (York Shire, UK), a telehealth and telecare provider based in the UK.

With the acquisition of AMAC, the Tunstall Healthcare Group now has a turnover of £190 million ($300 million), employing 1,900 people across the world. AMAC will continue to operate under its existing brand, with a growing emphasis on the provision of healthcare services.
