Liesl Cooper, RPh, PhD has been named vice president, healthcare economics, policy and reimbursement for Covidien (Mansfield, Massachusetts). She joins Covidien from Johnson & Johnson's Cordis unit, where she was VP-health economics & reimbursement. Covidien manufactures, distributes and services a diverse range of product lines in four segments: Medical Devices, Imaging Solutions, Pharmaceutical Products and Medical Supplies.

• LCA-Vision (Cincinnati) reported the resignation of executive VP of finance/CFO Alan Buckey. Michael Celebrezze has been named interim CFO. Celebrezze has served as senior vice president of finance/treasurer since July 2007. LCA-Vision provides laser vision correction services under the LasikPlus brand.

Stryker Warren has been named CEO of Urologix (Minneapolis), replacing Mitchell Dann, who has served as interim CEO since February. Dann continues to serve as board chairman. Warren previously served as president/CEO of Urology Healthcare Group. Urologix makes minimally invasive medical products for the treatment of urological disorders.
