Christian Bréchot has been appointed to the board of directors of in vitro diagnostics firm bioMérieux (Marcy L'Etoile, France). Vice president of medical and scientific affairs at Mérieux Alliance since January, Bréchot was director general of France's INSERM organization from 2001-2007.

Xiaoqing Liao has resigned as a director, CFO and secretary of China Sky One Medical (Harbin, China), a maker of pharmaceutical, medicinal and diagnostic products. He had joined the company in March and was named CFO last month.

Randal Vader has been named vice president, quality, regulatory and clinical affairs at EraGen BioSciences (Madison, Wisconsin). He most recently was lead director of quality and regulatory for Philips Medical Systems' Radiation Oncology Systems business. EraGen manufactures molecular diagnostic products.

Michael Rowe was named senior VP of global marketing for Gene Express (Toledo, Ohio). Most recently, Rowe was senior director of U.S. therapeutics marketing at Bayer. Gene Express makes molecular diagnostic equipment.

Christopher Jackson has been appointed vice president of sales at SpectraScience (San Diego), a developer of cancer-screening technology. He most recently was with Neomatrix.
