• Gerry Nigg was named category sales manager Web for Kammann Machines (St. Charles, Illinois). Before this promotion, Nigg was international sales manager. Kammann produces disposable medical devices and industrial labels.
• The Securities and Exchange Commission said that SEC secretary Nancy Morris is leaving the regulatory agency to become an executive VP at Allianz Global Investors of America, where she will have broad U.S. legal compliance responsibilities. Since she was named SEC secretary in early 2006, Morris has overseen the legal review of all SEC documents submitted to and approved by the commission, including rulemaking releases and enforcement orders. She also has provided advice to the commission and its staff on practice and procedure.
• Telemedicus (Houston) said that COO Steve Price has resigned from the company. "Steve did a great job and definitely will be missed," said CEO Thomas Cloud. "We will seek his replacement and continue to progress the DREAMS technology to market. We now have moved the designs of the mobile and fixed platforms into a commercially viable form, fit and function and the company will begin the process of gaining FDA medical device approvals." Telemedicus makes mobile medical communications.
• Gregory Porter was named senior VP and general counsel for Welch Allyn (Skaneateles Falls, New York). Most recently, Porter was co-founder, CEO and vice chairman of Verispan. Welch Allyn makes diagnostic equipment and digital and connected solutions.
