• Marikay Menard was named VP of clinical strategy of LifeWatch (Chicago). Previously, Menard was a healthcare executive at Cerner. LifeWatch is a provider of ambulatory cardiac monitoring services and ambulatory cardiac and vital signs monitoring devices.
• Art Parker, senior VP and treasurer and currently interim CFO of MedCath (Charlotte, North Carolina), has been named senior VP of finance and development. MedCath is a healthcare provider focused on high-acuity healthcare services, predominantly the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease.
• John Reidy was named CFO of Novadaq Technologies (Toronto), effective June 1. Current CFO Roger Deck will move to a senior business management role within the company. Reidy previously was CFO for GE Healthcare Canada. Novadaq makes real-time imaging and image guidance systems for use in the operating room.
• Qiagen (Venlo, The Netherlands) said that Lynda Merrill has joined the company as VP of molecular diagnostic sales for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Australia. Most recently, Merrill was VP for industrial relationships for Gen-Probe. Qiagen is a molecular diagnostics company.
• Samplify Systems (Santa Clara, California) said that Carl Crawford, an expert in computed tomography, has joined its technical team. Crawford previously was VP of corporate imaging systems at Analogic. Samplify is a real-time signal compression technology company.
• Bernard Pitz was named senior VP/CFO of SonoSite (Bothell, Washington). Pitz previously was VP of finance, CFO and treasurer with Sybron Dental Specialties. SonoSite specializes in hand-carried ultrasound for the point of care.
