• Michael Green has been named CFO at Artes Medical (San Diego). Prior to joining Artes, Green was COO and CFO at Orchestra Therapeutics. Artes makes aesthetic injectable products for the dermatology and plastic surgery markets.

• Basil Zimmo has been named VP of software for Finesse Solutions (Santa Clara, California). He most recently was a senior program manager for hand-held products at Research in Motion. Finesse Solutions makes measurement and control solutions for life sciences process applications.

• Marikay Menard has been named VP of clinical strategy of LifeWatch (Chicago). Previously, Menard was a healthcare executive at Cerner. LifeWatch is a provider of ambulatory cardiac monitoring services and ambulatory cardiac and vital signs monitoring devices.

• Chris Layfield has been named director of marketing for Praxis (Brentwood, Tennessee), a company specializing in centralized patient recruitment for clinical research studies. Layfield has more than 11 years' experience in advertising and marketing from both the operational and management sides.

• Russell Duke, PhD, has joined Sunquest Information Systems (Tucson, Arizona) as an executive consultant. Duke most recently served as CEO of TriCore Reference Laboratories. Sunquest Information Systems provides clinical data management solutions.
