Key strategies can help avoid a medical device recall

Product recalls still occur regardless of the best efforts. More devices were recalled in 2005 than in the previous 10 years, for example. ICD and pacemaker recalls are getting significant media attention, continuing the controversy. Medical device companies must be prepared for recalls at a moment's notice.

In a new Diagnostics & Imaging Week audio conference, speaker James M. Wood, partner with Reed Smith, will provide insight on critical must-dos in product recalls, how to maximize resource allocation during a recall, policy changes to implement during a recall and more.

"Medical Device Recalls: Strategies and Best Practices to Know Before a Recall Order is Issued" is just $349 per listening site. Scheduled for May 13th, from 1-2:30 p.m., it includes presentation handouts and a half-hour Q&A session with the speaker. A conference CD (MP3 format) is also available. For more information or to register, call 800-688-2421 or 404-262-5474. Please mention conference code T08493.
