John Fallini has been named CFO of Altair Nanotechnologies (Reno, Nevada). Previously, Fallini was CFO at Alloptic. Altair makes nanomaterials for use in pharmaceutical, life sciences and industrial applications.

Darryl Goss has been named VP of toxicology/laboratory animal diagnostic services for BioReliance (Rockville, Maryland). Previously, Goss was senior VP/COO of Esoterix. BioReliance is provides contract services to the pharmaceutical and biopharma industries.

• BridgeHealth International (Denver) has named Tom Emerick as the newest member of its advisory board. Prior to this appointment, Emerick was VP of global benefit design and continuous improvement for Wal-Mart. BridgeHealth provides services for medical tourism.

Brad Stewart has been named president of Cylex (Columbia, Maryland). Stewart brings leadership experience from work in biotech, pharma, diagnostic and related healthcare companies, Cylex said. Cylex makes in vitro diagnostic products.

George Marshalek Jr. has been named senior VP of client operations at MEDecision (Wayne, Pennsylvania). Marshalek joins MEDecision from Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. MEDecision is a developer of healthcare management solutions.

John Danahy has been named VP of sales for Medsphere Systems (Aliso Viejo, California).

Danahy comes to Medsphere from McKesson. Medsphere makes Open Source electronic health record systems and services.

Joan Drucker, MD, has been named chief medical officer of Radiant Development (Chicago). Previously, Drucker was the chief medical officer and director of clinical trials at Trimeris. Radiant is a CRO founded in 1995.
