Olympus America (Center Valley, Pennsylvania) and Novation (Irving, Texas) aid they have renewed a multi-year agreement covering the purchase of Olympus automated chemistry systems by Novation members.
Olympus chemistry analyzers enable laboratories to perform high-speed, high-throughput clinical chemistry testing. The contract spans three years and may be extended up to two additional years.
It is a renewal and expansion of the prior Novation-Olympus agreement, which had similar terms, and which was extended through a full five years.
Olympus was selected because of its analyzers' reliability, cost effectiveness, user-friendly operation, speed and accuracy, and because of the level of support services Olympus offers, Novation said.
Hiroshi Sekiya, director of marketing for Olympus America's Diagnostic Systems Group, said, "These members can now standardize workflow, reagent and supply ordering, training, processing, and other functions across all their facilities from the largest to the smallest, using the most advanced chemistry and automation solutions on the market. This will help them continue to achieve their service and cost efficiency objectives."
Novation is a contracting services company serving VHA (Irving, Texas) and the University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC; Oak Brook, Illinois).
