• Cynthia Bond has been named director of investor relations at Aethlon Medical (San Diego). Bond has over 20 years of investor relations and corporate communications experience to the company. Aethlon makes the Hemopurifier, a first-in-class medical device designed to treat infectious disease.
• NewCardio (San Jose, California) said that Mark Kroll, PhD, has been named chairman of NewCardio’s board. Kroll most recently served as the senior VP and chief technology officer for the Cardiac Rhythm Management division of St. Jude Medical. NewCardio is a cardiac diagnostic and services company.
• Predictive Biosciences (Lexington, Massachusetts) said that Peter Klemm, PhD, has been named the company’s first president/CEO, as well as a director. Klemm was formerly CEO of GeneOhm Sciences. Predictive Biosciences is an emerging molecular diagnostics company making non-invasive diagnostic products for cancer patients.
• Mark Ordan has been named chief investment and administrative officer for Sunrise Senior Living (McLean, Virginia). Prior to joining Sunrise, Ordan was the CEO a director of The Mills Corporation. Sunrise offers a range of personalized senior living services.
