• Luminex (Austin, Texas) reported the following executive management organizational changes effective March 1. Randel Marfin has been named to the new position of VP of strategic development, Gregory Gosch has been named VP of the Luminex bioscience group and Darin Leigh has been named VP of sales and marketing. Marfin joined Luminex in June 1998 and previously was VP of the Luminex bioscience group. Leigh was previously senior director of sales and marketing for diagnostics at Luminex. Luminex makes biological testing technologies.

• Bryan Christiansen was named senior VP of MediConnect Global (Salt Lake City). Previously, Christiansen was chief of staff and VP of operational strategy at Affiliated Computer Services. MediConnect Global is a medical records retrieval, scanning and storage services provider.

• North American Scientific (Chatsworth, California) reported that James Klingler has resigned as senior VP and CFO, effective March 21. North American Scientific specializes in radiation therapy in the fight against cancer.
