Thomas Ehardt was named CEO of the Advogent Group (Piscataway, New Jersey). Previously, Ehardt was CEO of The Jobson Publishing Group. Advogent provides communications and educational solutions to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries.

Kevin Bollin has been promoted to area manager of Crdentia’s (Dallas) Austin, Dallas and San Antonio, Texas, markets. Bollin joined Crdentia, a healthcare staffing company, in November 2007 and previously served as the Dallas branch manager.

• Integrated Project Management (IPM; Burr Ridge, Illinois) reported that Carol Schneider has joined its team as Healthcare Executive Consultant. Most recently, Schneider was president/CEO of Timberline Knolls. IPM is a management consulting firm with a focus on project management.

U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Michael Leavitt has appointed Timothy Birdsall, MD, to serve a four-year term on the National Advisory Council for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NACCAM) for the National Institutes of Health (NIH; Bethesda, Maryland). Birdsall is vice president of integrative medicine for Cancer Treatment Centers of America and a licensed naturopathic physician. The NACCAM advises and makes recommendations to the director of the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine on matters related to the center’s research activities and functions.
