  • Khatereh Calleja has been named associate VP of technology and regulatory affairs for AdvaMed (Washington), the medical technology association. AdvaMed said that Calleja will play a lead role in the association's policy efforts in the diagnostics sector.
  • Ralph Aleman has been appointed CEO of Hialeah Hospital (Hialeah, Florida), a 378-bed acute care hospital owned by Tenet Healthcare (Dallas). Tenet owns and operates acute care hospitals and related healthcare services.
  • Nanogen (San Diego), a developer of diagnostics, reported that Robert Saltmarsh, VP and CFO, will retire at the end of February 2008. Nick Venuto, currently the executive director of finance, will then become company CFO.
  • Catherine Huddle has been named VP of sales and marketing for Sevocity (San Antonio), a division of Conceptual MindWorks. Sevocity is the developer of an Internet-based electronic health record system.
