Gerald Masoudi has been appointed associate general counsel/chief counsel of the food and drug division of the Department of Health and Human Services Office of the General Counsel (Washington), which handles legal matters for the FDA. Since 2005, Masoudi has been deputy assistant attorney general in charge of international, policy and appellate matters in the antitrust division at the Department of Justice.

William Ryan was named VP of corporate relations for Rapid Pathogen Screening (Sarasota, Florida). Most recently, Ryan was VP of corporate relations for Celleration. Rapid Pathogen Screening makes point-of-care diagnostic devices for ocular diseases.

Cindy Setum, PhD, was named VP of clinical affairs of TopSpin Medical (Tel Aviv, Israel). Setum previously was VP of clinical and medical affairs at Possis Medical. TopSpin Medical makes high-resolution MRI using an IntraVascular MRI catheter for the coronary arteries.
