AngioDynamics makes medical devices used by interventional radiologists and surgeons for the minimally invasive treatment of peripheral vascular disease and cancer.

• Cadent (Carlstadt, New Jersey) said that Irit Tenenvurtzel has joined the company as executive VP and GM of Cadent Israel, the company’s R&D and hardware production center. Most recently he was division president and corporate VP at Orbotech. Cadent makes 3-D digital solutions for the orthodontic and dental industries.

Spencer Roeck was named VP of international of Conceptus (Mountain View, California).Roeck was most recently with VNUS Medical Technologies where he was senior director of international sales and marketing. Conceptus makes the Essure permanent birth control system.

• Medical Capital Group (Waltham, Massachusetts) said that it has further expanded its investment-banking team with the addition of Andrew Streisfeld, CPA. Streisfeld will serve as CFO at Medical Capital Group. Previously, he served as CFO and COO at Brown & Company Securities. Medical Capital Advisors are investment banking advisors to the medical technology industry.

Karen Marinella-Hall was named director of corporate communications of Millipore (Billerica, Massachusetts). Prior to join Millipore, Marinella-Hall was the news anchor for the nightly ten o’clock news broadcast at WLVI-TV in Boston. Millipore provides technologies, tools and services for the bioscience research and the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry.

Bruce Dalziel was named CFO of Medidata Solutions (New York). Before joining Medidata, Dalziel was the CFO of BISYS. Medidata Solutions provides electronic clinical data capture, management and reporting solutions.

Alisa Mosley was promoted to director of external affairs of the National Medical Association (NMA; Washington). Mosley was previously the associate director of communications. The National Medical Association advocates for policies that would assure equitable and quality health care for all people.

The Sorin Group (Milan, Italy) said that Fred Hrkac has been named president of the cardiac rhythm management (CRM) business unit. Since 2005, Hrkac has been VP of global sales and marketing, of the Sorin Group CRM business unit. The Sorin group is a cardiovascular company and developer of medical technologies for cardiac surgery.

Chad Richards was named senior VP of sales and marketing for Transgenomic (Omaha, Nebraska). Before joining Transgenomic, Richards was national sales director of the cancer diagnostics division for Quest Diagnostics. Transgenomic is a biotechnology company that provides products and services of automated high sensitivity genetic variation and mutation analysis.
