Most recently, Sumner held senior clinical development positions at Eli Lilly in the U.S. medical division of Lilly research laboratories. BioBehaviorial Diagnostics makes diagnostic systems for psychiatric and behavioral disorders.

• Stephen Lombardi has been promoted to president/CEO of Helicos BioSciences (Cambridge, Massachusetts) from COO and executive VP of the company. Helicos makes genetic analysis technologies.

• Jerome Workman has been named director of measurement systems for Luminous Medical (Carlsbad, California). He was most recently director of research, technology and applications at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Luminous is developing an automated glucose measurement system that addresses the demand for tight glycemic control.

• Allan Christensen has been named VP of technical services for Radlink (Redondo Beach, California). Most recently Christensen was an independent consultant. Radlink supplies medical imaging systems to healthcare providers including digital imaging to private practices.

• John Ross has been named executive VP of sales and business development of Radlink (Redondo Beach, California). Most recently Ross was VP of sales at Ampronix. Radlink makes medical imaging systems.
