PainCare receives AMEX failure notice
PainCare Holdings (Orlando, Florida), a provider of pain-focused solutions and services, said it has received a letter from the American Stock Exchange (AMEX), notifying it that its delay in filing its Form 10-Q for the three and six months ended June 30, 2007, constitutes a failure to comply with exchange standards.
On Aug. 16, 2007, PainCare issued a statement reflecting its comparative results for the second quarter and year-to-date reporting periods. It said that the associated Form 10-Q is expected to be filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on or before August 30. In the statement, PainCare said it could not complete the Form 10- Q on time because of various dispositions of physician practices during the second quarter.
Einstein Bariatrics named center of excellence
Albert Einstein Healthcare Network (Philadelphia) said that its weight loss surgery program, Einstein Bariatrics, has been named an American Society for Bariatric Surgery (ASBS) bariatric surgery center of excellence.
“At Einstein Bariatrics, we have been extremely proud of our safety record. We have published in the medical literature some of the lowest complication rates. Most of our patients are able to go home after only an overnight stay. We are very happy that the ASBS Centers of Excellence program has recognized our track-record of good work,” said Ramsey Dallal, MD, director of Einstein Bariatrics.
