Kjell Alving joined Aerocrine’s (Stockholm, Sweden) management team responsible for scientific and medical affairs. Alving is a professor at the department of women’s and children’s health at Uppsala University. Aerocrine makes products to improve asthma management and care.

• Agilent Technologies (Santa Clara, California) said that Chris van Ingen, president of the company’s Bio-Analytical Measurement business, will retire on Oct. 31, 2007, the last day of Agilent’s fiscal year. Ingen was appointed to his current position in May 2001. Agilent makes products in communications, electronics, life sciences and chemical analysis.

Todd Nelson, PhD, was named CEO of eBioscience (San Diego). Nelson comes to eBioscience from Invitrogen where he was VP of global corporate development. eBioscience makes products that support academic and government research institutions and pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
