VirtualHealth Technologies enhances software

VirtualHealth Technologies (Lexington, Kentucky) said it has two major software enhancements underway through its subsidiaries VPS Holding, and Envoii Healthcare.

“We have been quietly upgrading our proven real-time government prescription drug tracking system, Veriscrip,” company president James Renfro said. “We have been meeting with many government leaders at the National, State and County levels that are now seeing the advantage of a ‘true real-time’ system. Our subsidiary, Envoii Healthcare, anticipates launching our new and enhanced security software in the third quarter related to healthcare applications,” Renfro said.

VirtualHealth Technologies provides products and services to the physician and healthcare provider market including practice management services, electronic transactions services, pre-packaged pharmaceuticals, and EMRs (electronic medical records).

Millstone Medical opens Memphis facility

Millstone Medical Outsourcing (Fall River, Massachusetts) said that the company is expanding operations by opening a new facility in Memphis, Tennessee. The Memphis center, scheduled to be up and running in 3Q07, will support Millstone’s aftermarket services division and offer distribution and loaner processing services to medical device manufacturers. The strategic location of the Memphis facility near the distribution hubs of two major carriers allows Millstone to extend its service hours and cater to original equipment manufacturers with west coast and global sales operations.
