• Paul Clancy was promoted to executive VP and CFO of Biogen Idec (Cambridge, Massachusetts). Clancy is currently senior VP of finance of the company. Biogen Idec specializes in the development of innovative therapies.

• Sheri Edison was named senior VP and chief administrative officer of Hill-Rom (Batesville, Illinois), the health care unit of Hillenbrand Industries, effective Oct. 1. Edison had been serving as VP and general counsel for Hill-Rom and has been with Hillenbrand Industries for five years. Hill-Rom provides medical technologies and related services for the health care industry, including patient support systems, non-invasive therapeutic products for a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions, medical equipment rentals, and healthcare information technology solutions.
