Health Care Property Investors changes name

Health Care Property Investors (Long Beach, California) reported that it is changing its name to HCP.

The company, a REIT, will have a development pipeline in excess of $2 billion and an investment management platform of approximately $2 billion. The new name recognizes the evolution of the company's real estate portfolio and operating platforms. The company's NYSE ticker symbol will remain the same.
