• EyeGate Pharma (Waltham, Massachusetts) has appointed Michael Patane, PhD, VP of research and development and promoted Michael Manzo to VP of engineering. Patane previously was executive director of global discovery chemistry, at the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research. EyeGate is specialty pharmaceutical company focusing on the use of iontophoresis technology to non-invasively deliver therapeutics for ocular indications.

• Marty Felsenthal was promoted to partner of HLM Venture Partners (Boston, Massachusetts. Felsenthal will be responsible for identifying new investment opportunities in emerging healthcare services companies and the opening of HLM's San Francisco office. HLM is a venture capital firm focused on healthcare information technology, health care services and medical technology.

• David Roberts was named president of LeMaitre Vascular (Burlington, Massachusetts). Also, Joseph Pellegrino has been named CFO. Roberts has served as the company's CFO since 2000 and a director since 2001. Pellegrino joined the company in 2005 as executive VP of Finance.
