• Delcath Systems (Stamford, Connecticut) named Jonathan Foltz, CFA, to the newly created position of executive VP. Foltz has been working with Delcath in an advisory position since February. Prior to returning to Delcath, Foltz was president of Os Technology. Delcath develops percutaneous perfusion technology for organ or region-specific delivery of therapeutic and chemotherapeutic agents.
• David Chernow was named CEO of OnCURE Medical (Newport Beach, California). Chernow is currently a director of OnCure and will continue to serve as a member of the board. Chernow previously served as a senior operating executive and was a co-founder of oncology services provider American Oncology Resources (AOR), which is currently US Oncology. OnCure is a provider of radiation therapy.
• Andy Reding has been named managing director, North America, of Trumpf Medical Systems (Charleston, South Carolina). The company said that Reding has 14 years of sales, sales management and senior level marketing experience in products similar to Trumpf. Trumpf is a machine tool and laser manufacturer.
HealthTronics (Austin, Texas) reported that Sam Humphries, president/CEO of the company, has suffered what it called "a cardiac event" and is currently recovering. The company said that Humphries has been admitted to a hospital for evaluation and treatment and is expected to make a full recovery. James Whittenburg, president of the company's urology services division, has been appointed acting president/CEO until Humphries is able to resume his role.
