• John George has been named senior VP of sales for A.D.A.M. (Atlanta). George most recently was senior VP of sales for Per-Se Technologies, a healthcare software firm acquired by McKesson Corporation in January. A.D.A.M. is a provider of health information services and benefits management solutions.

Will Saunders, the senior VP of strategy and product development for Affiliated Computer Services (Dallas) has been named to the health information communication and data exchange taskforce of the State Alliance for e-Health. The State Alliance is a body of state-elected officials working to facilitate improvement in healthcare through electronic health information exchange. ACS specializes in state healthcare program administration.

Benjamin Loh Gek Lim has been named executive VP of worldwide sales and service for FEI (Hillsboro, Oregon). Loh most recently was executive VP of global field operations of Veeco Instruments. Loh will be based in Singapore. FEI makes instruments for nanoscale imaging, analysis and prototyping.

David Etzwiler was named VP of community affairs for Medtronic (Minneapolis) and also executive director of the Medtronic Foundation. Etzwiler replaces Penny Hunt, who led worldwide philanthropy efforts at Medtronic for 14 years. Etzwiler previously served as senior director of the Medtronic Foundation and government affairs. Medtronic said that Etzwiler was instrumental in the development and expansion of the foundation's Patient Link program, representing 72 patient associations in North America and Europe, and HeartRescue, a sudden cardiac arrest educational outreach program.

Jim Meckstroth was named director of operations for SunTech Medical (Research Triangle Park, North Carolina). Most recently, Meckstroth was VP of development for Oriel Therapeutics. SunTech makes non-invasive blood pressure monitoring products.
