• Darrin Uecker has joined Conceptus (Mountain View, California) as VP of R&D and operations. Uecker was most recently with RITA Medical Systems, where he was chief technology officer. Conceptus makes the Essure permanent birth control system, a device and procedure designed to provide a non-incisional alternative to tubal ligation.

• David Dill has been named CFO of LifePoint Hospitals (Brentwood, Tennessee) effective August 1. Dill most recently served as executive VP of Fresenius Medical Care North America. LifePoint Hospitals is a hospital company focused on providing healthcare services in non-urban communities in 19 states.
