Richard Glenn has been named Southwest regional sales manager for CoActiv Medical (Ridgefield, Connecticut). Previously, Glenn was the owner of a PACS and CR consulting business in Texas. CoActiv is a software and IT systems provider to hospitals and imaging centers.

• Edwards Lifesciences (Irvine, California) reported the promotion of four employees, each of whom currently hold a position with the company. Donald Bobo, Jr., has been named corporate VP, heart valve therapy, responsible for the surgical heart valve business, including tissue replacement and repair devices. John McGrath, PhD, has been named corporate VP, quality. Carlyn Solomon has been named corporate VP, critical care. Larry Wood has been named corporate VP, transcatheter valve replacement. Edwards develops advanced cardiovascular disease treatments.

• Radius Ventures (New York) reported that Sanuj Ravindran has joined the firm as a principal. Previously, Ravindran was a director at Burrill & Company. Radius is a venture capital firm focused on health and life sciences companies.

Charles Federico has been named chairman of SRI/Surgical Express (Tampa, Florida), effective May 24, when the term of current chairman N. John Simmons Jr expires. Simmons has been nominated to serve another term as a board member. Federico joined the company's board as an independent director in June 2006. Most recently, he served as the group president/CEO of Orthofix. He remains a director of that company. SRI/Surgical provides central processing and supply chain management services to U.S. hospitals and surgery centers.
