• Ryan Rauch has been retained by Applied NeuroSolutions (Vernon Hills, Illinois) as an investment relations consultant. Rauch previously was an analyst at Jefferies & Company. Applied NeuroSolutions makes products focusing on the treatment and diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease.
• Ian Lyons, PhD, has been named chief scientific officer, U.S., for Stem Cell Innovations (SCI; Houston), joining Helmuth van Es, PhD, chief scientific officer, Europe, as co-leader of SCI’s scientific programs. Lyons previously was research area manager (stem cells) and principal scientist for Invitrogen. SCI is a cell biology company with offices in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, and Leiden, the Netherlands, developing human pluripotent stem cells, known as PluriCells.
• Bart Jones has been named director of sales operations for Vidacare (San Antonio, Texas). Previously, Jones served as regional business director at Cubist Pharmaceuticals. The EZ-IO product system by Vidacare facilitates the administration of fluids and drugs to the patient.
• Katrina Agnew has been named general manager of VITAS Innovative Hospice Care (St. Louis). Previously, Agnew served as a medical assistant under a division of Olympia Fields Hospital. VITAS Innovative Hospice Care is a provider of end-of-life care.
