Emerging Health Information Technology (Yonkers, New York), the healthcare IT services company selected by the Bronx Regional Health Information Organization (RHIO; New York) to create a health information exchange, and Initiate Systems (Chicago) reported that Emerging Health has selected Initiate Identity Hub software, which it says is the standard in enterprise master person index (EMPI) technology, to deliver a comprehensive view of the patient in real time.
The Initiate software will perform the critical function of identifying patients and compiling their electronic health records from data dispersed across multiple databases.
"One of the most critical elements in a project of this scope is an EMPI solution that can quickly and accurately identify a patient and deliver their complete health record to the point of care," said Jack Wolf, president/CEO of Emerging Health.

Cytovance Biologics (Oklahoma City), a biopharmaceutical contract manufacturing company specializing in the production of therapeutic proteins and antibodies from mammalian cell culture, reported the addition of Bone Biologics (Beverly Hills, California) to its client portfolio. Bone Biologics selected Cytovance for process development and cGMP manufacturing of its recombinant protein for spinal fusion surgery.
Bone Biologics said the project is being executed out of Cytovance's multi-product cGMP production facility in Oklahoma City, and that the 44,000 sq. ft. facility meets the latest international regulatory standards, the company said. Cytovance specializes in the execution of clinical production of antibody and recombinant protein products derived from cell culture at scales up to 500L (w/v) from both fed-batch and perfusion processes.
