Medisolv (Columbia, Maryland), a developer of business intelligence and clinical decision support software for hospitals in the U.S. and Canada, and First Consulting Group (FCGI; Long Beach, California), a healthcare information technology company, have completed a dea; in which Medisolv has acquired the FCGI's CyberView product business. Financial terms were not disclosed.

By adding Cyberview's easy-to-use query capabilities and financial reporting to Medisolv applications and business intelligence platform, Medislov said it believes that this acquisition will extend its leadership as the “premier provider of business performance management software for hospitals and health systems.”

“The Cyberview product business will advance our strategy of rapidly expanding our client base in the business intelligence and clinical decision support space for hospitals and health systems,” said Dr. Zahid Butt, president/CEO of Medisolv.

“With the addition of CyberView, Medisolv also will have the distinction of being the only company providing end to end business intelligence and clinical decision support solutions for the Meditech Data Repository. The combined software products will provide customers with advanced clinical and financial analysis through multiple reporting and analysis tools.”
