MedAssets Supply Chain Systems' customers may choose from Radiometer's line of laboratory and point-of-care blood gas analyzers, consumables and accessories, as well as an array of services.

Radiometer's solutions include training and support services delivered by the company's nationwide network of technical, clinical and regulatory experts.

Cedara Software (Toronto), a Merge Healthcare (Milwaukee) company and an independent developer of medical software technologies for the global healthcare market, reported an agreement with Swissray International (Elizabeth, New Jersey) whereby Swissray will distribute Cedara's new orthopaedic workstation, Cedara OrthoWorks ProPlanner, to their customers worldwide as part of an integrated solution with their digital radiography systems.

Swissray is focused on direct digital radiography systems.

Cedara's orthopaedic software provides support for deformity corrections, trauma and customized planning methodologies that mimic orthopaedic workflow which currently cannot be planned manually. In challenging deformity and trauma corrective cases for example, image cutting allows surgeons to digitally cut and reposition fractured bone fragments to visualize potential surgical changes.

In converse circumstances, image stitching allows users to stitch together two or more images using a number of methods to ensure that cases requiring long film X-rays can still be digitally planned without the need for expensive stitching hardware, the company said.
