• Todd Fanning has been named president of BioMedical Enterprises (BME; San Antonio), Inc. (BME), a bone fixation and musculoskeletal research service company. Fanning brings 20 years of healthcare and medical device experience to BME, most recently as vice president of sales and marketing for Abbott Spine (formerly Spinal Concepts). BME is focused on development of bone grafting instruments and bone fixation implants and also provides a musculoskeletal research service to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and orthopedic industries.

• Thomas Ronca has joined Milestone Scientific (Liv-ingston, New Jersey) as chief operating officer. Most recently a medical industry consultant, Ronca was senior vice president and general manager of the medical technology division of B. Braun Medical from 1994-2003.
