David Fronk has been promoted from vice president of clinical research to vice president, regulatory affairs and quality assurance, forCryoLife(Kennesaw, Georgia). Fronk replaces Dr. Thomas Lynch, who has accepted a position with another company. CryoLife processes implantable living human tissues for use in cardiovascular and vascular surgeries throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Scott Kahn, PhD, has been named vice president and chief information officer for Illumina (San Diego). Kahn previously was chief scientific officer at Accelerys. Illumina is developing next-generation tools enabling large-scale analysis of genetic variation and function.

Douglas Sinclair has been named CFO of Stentor (Brisbane, California), replacing Guy Anthony, who has resigned to pursue personal interests. Sinclair most recently served as CFO and chief operating officer of Vertical Networks. Through its iSyntax technology, Stentor has created iSite PACS for image distribution, radiology reading and online long-term storage.

Dudley Harris, a former regional director for the FDA, has joined Summa Design (Montrose, Colorado) as director of regulatory affairs and quality systems. Summa Design is a contract design and development company focused on the medical device industry.
