Air Methods (Denver) said that it has expanded its hospital-based operations within Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia and West Virginia. Each of these operations is an expansion of an existing contractual arrangement with Air Methods, it said.
Over the past two quarters, the company reports adding five bases and says it expects to complete the expansion of four more by the end of April. In total, the company said it will deploy nine additional operating aircraft in expanding its hospital-based programs and will realize additional annual revenues from these initiatives. It said it expects all additional operating aircraft in service by the end of this month.
Air Methods is a provider of emergency aeromedical transportation, medical services and technology.
