Keith Jones has been named CFO of Polymedica (Woburn, Massachusetts). Jones will assume the role from Fred “Skip“ Croninger, who will take the post of vice president, finance and administration. Jones most recently serv-ed as CFO and vice president of Physicians Dialysis, a company he co-founded in 2001. PolyMedica's Liberty Health-care division focuses on patients who suffer from diabetes and respiratory ailments.

Angela Dotson has been named senior vice president, sales and marketing, for SmartPill Diagnostics (Buffalo, New York). Dotson previously was vice president of sales and medical education, North America, for Given Imaging. SmartPill's diagnostic system assists in diagnosing gastrointestinal motility disorders.

CEO Douglas Harrington, MD, is departing Specialty Laboratories (Valencia, California), a hospital-focused clinical reference laboratory. Harrington will remain as CEO through March 29 and will assist the company during the search for his successor. Upon Harrington's departure, Kevin Sayer, executive vice president and CFO, will be acting senior officer.

Alfred Lechner Jr. has joined Tyco International (Pembroke, Bermuda) as vice president and chief counsel for litigation. Lechner previously was a partner at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius. Lechner replaces Gardner Courson, appointed general counsel of Tyco Fire & Security and remaining a vice president and deputy general counsel of Tyco Inter-national. Tyco International provides products and services to customers in five business segments: Fire & Sec-urity, Electronics, Healthcare, Engineered Products & Services, and Plastics & Adhesives.
