Joel White has been promoted to vice president of process integration for Global Dosimetry Solutions (GDS; Irvine, California), a provider of personal radiation monitoring solutions. He joined GDS in 1996, and has served in a number of critical technical roles.

Mike Bates will be responsible for finance and IT at St. Francis Medical Technologies (SFMT; Alameda, California). Bates most recently was CFO at Silicon Genetics. SFMT's first product, the X STOP Interspinous Process Decom- pression System for treatment of lumbar spinal stenosis, provides a minimally invasive alternative for spinal decompression.

Tom Lindsey has been appointed director of U.S. sales and marketing for Sutura (Fountain Valley, California). Previously, Lindsey was vice president of sales for two national biomedical equipment companies. Sutura has developed a line of minimally invasive vessel closure devices to suture the puncture created in the femoral artery during catheter-based procedures, primarily in the fields of cardiology and radiology.
