Thequestions will likely delay the study. Scigenics' stock dropped$4.13 Tuesday to close at $6.75 after a $2.13 drop on Monday.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose for the first time in aweek to post a slight gain of 4.05 points. The biotechnologyindex closed at 139.68, up .73. The Chicago Board OptionExchange Biotech Index closed at 134.21, up .49.

Chiron Corp. (NASDAQ:CHIR) was the only biotechnology stockto rise at least $1.00. Chiron closed up $1.00 at $47.25.
