CYTRX APPOINTS McDADE AS CHAIRMANCytRx Corp. of Norcross, Ga., last week named Herbert McDadeJr. chairman of the board, replacing company co-founder SteveGorlin.

McDade, who is chairman, president and chief executive officerof Chemex Pharmaceuticals Inc. of Denver, has more than 40years of pharmaceutical industry experience.

STORM APPOINTED CEO OF A.L. LABS

A. L. Laboratories Inc. (NYSE:BMD) said Monday it appointedRichard Storm president and chief executive officer.

Storm succeeds the retiring I. Roy Cohen, who was named vicechairman and will continue as chairman of the executivecommittee of the board of directors. Cohen has served as A. L.'spresident and CEO since the company's founding in 1975.

Storm was most recently executive vice president for the RorerGroup and a member of its executive committee. He has 30years of senior management experience in the pharmaceuticalindustry.

ISIS PROMOTES CO-FOUNDER TO SENIOR VP

Isis Pharmaceuticals Inc. of Carlsbad, Calif., said Monday itpromoted Christopher Mirabelli to senior vice president forresearch and clinical development. An Isis co-founder,Mirabelli was previously vice president of research.

CAMBRIDGE NEURO NAMES VP OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Cambridge NeuroScience Research Inc. of Cambridge, Mass.,said it appointed Robert Curtis vice president of businessdevelopment. He was formerly director of licensing anddevelopment for Pfizer Inc.

GLAXO REORGANIZES MANAGEMENT

Glaxo Inc. of Research Triangle Park, N.C., said it reorganized itssenior management, eliminating the position of president, tobetter focus responsibility for its sales, marketing andoperations functions.

Thomas D'Alonzo was appointed group vice president formanufacturing, quality assurance, human resources, strategicplanning and commercial development. Robert Ingram wasnamed group vice president for sales and marketing,regulatory affairs, corporate affairs and federal governmentaffairs.

Alan Steigrod, vice president of sales and marketing, resignedto pursue other opportunities.

Also appointed were James Butler, vice president and generalmanager for corporate sales; Robert Zeigler, vice president andgeneral manager of the Glaxo pharmaceuticals division; RonaldStanton, vice president and general manager of the Allen &Hanburys division; Richard Franco, vice president and generalmanager of Glaxo's dermatology division; and MargaretDardess, vice president of corporate affairs for policydevelopment, external professional education programs andpublic relations.
