Awaiting the potential U.S. FDA approval of a second product this year, Protagonist Therapeutics Inc. with partner Johnson & Johnson won the go-ahead for oral peptide Icotyde (icotrokinra), an IL-23 receptor antagonist, to treat moderate to severe plaque psoriasis in adults and pediatric patients 12 and older who weigh at least 40 kg and who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy.

A would-be psoriasis winner began taking more distinct shape in the competitive oral tyrosine kinase 2 (TYK2) inhibitor space, and shares of Alumis Inc. (NASDAQ:ALMS) closed Jan. 6 at $16.23, up $7.92, or 95% – having traded as high as $22.30 – after unveiling positive top-line results from the phase III Onward1 and Onward2 trials with envudeucitinib (envu). Alumis CEO Martin Babler called 2026 “a value-inflection year. It starts today.”

Livzon Mabpharm Inc.’s anti-IL-17A/F monoclonal antibody, LZM-012, met the primary endpoint in a phase III trial in moderate to severe plaque psoriasis. Conducted at Fudan University’s Huashan Hospital, the phase III multicenter, randomized, double-blind, active-controlled (secukinumab) trial enrolled 926 patients with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis.
