Teitur Trophics ApS, a spinout from Aarhus University seeded by the Bioinnovation Institute in 2020, has completed a €28 million (US$30.1 million) series A financing. Teitur has developed a platform of first-in-class cyclic peptides with a novel mechanism that preserves neuronal function, and these peptides have the potential to treat a broad range of neurodegenerative diseases.
Siyi Intelligence Technology Co. Ltd. raised nearly $15 million in a series A funding round to speed up the development of its smart rehabilitation products and of its neurorehabilitation solutions and build a digital rehabilitation service platform.

Startup Metsystem ApS received €500,000 (US$529,080) from Denmark’s Bioinnovation Institute (BII) that will allow the company to conduct trials to validate its personalized prognosis platform for cancer metastasis. An organ-specific assessment of the metastasis potential of a patient’s primary tumor would enable clinicians to better balance the trade-off between providing the potentially life-extending benefit of preventative chemotherapy to those at higher risk and avoiding the adverse effects from chemotherapy in those who are unlikely to need it.
