Immunos adds $74M in series B round to progress myeloid checkpoint inhibitors

Immunos Therapeutics AG closed a $74 million series B round to progress its first-in-class, multifunctional immuno-oncology drug candidate, IOS-1002, and to expand further its pipeline of biologic drugs based on immuno-stimulatory human leukocyte antigen molecules.

Luca lands $30.3M series B for mitochondrial heart attack therapy

Luca Science Inc. has raised $30.3 million in an oversubscribed series B financing, enabling it to advance a mitochondria replacement therapy toward the clinic. The company is planning a phase Ib trial in myocardial infarction, in which 8 to 12 patients will receive injections of mitochondria immediately after having a heart attack.

Microport Medbot proposes $420M IPO on Shanghai Stock Exchange

Shanghai Microport Medbot (Group) Co. Ltd. plans to list on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on the Sci-Tech Board to raise ¥2.8 billion (US$420 million) to progress its surgical robots. The funds raised from the IPO would go toward research and development of the surgical robots, manufacturing, marketing and academic promotion, as well as replenishing working capital. The company also plans shareholder dividend distribution plans within three years following the IPO listing.

Biocaptiva’s $2.6M seed funding to be used on trials for DNA capture device

University of Edinburgh spinoff Biocaptiva Ltd. has raised an additional $2.6 million (£2.1 million) in seed financing for its cell free DNA (cfDNA) capture device, Biocaptis. Business angel syndicate Archangels led the round, with participation from Scottish Enterprise and Cancer Research Horizon, the innovation engine of Cancer Research UK.
