LONDON – The industry group Medtech Europe has raised an alarm that the new EU system for regulating devices is not yet functioning and says its members are running out of time to get their products certified for the May 2020 compliance deadline. As a result, in May next year thousands of medical devices will become non-compliant and not authorized for use.
