PARIS – On the way to creating a smart stent to prevent heart attacks, a French start up pivoted instead, focusing its micro-sensor technology on an urgent medical need for clot removal to help save brain for stroke victims. In a seed-funding round, Sensome SA based in Saclay, France, outside of Paris said it raised €4.7 million ($5.4 million) to accelerate development of an intelligent catheter for neurovascular interventions.
