Vigencell Inc., a company focused on immune cell therapy, raised ₩99.4 (US$85.17 million) through an IPO on South Korea’s Kosdaq board and plans to use the funds to drive its R&D and company operations. “We particularly want to increase the competitiveness of our pipeline by advancing our technology and clinical development,” Vigencell CEO Tai-Gyu Kim told BioWorld. “We will also expand our discovery of new candidates and R&D in general, as well as updating our facilities and hiring researchers.”

Under the simplified listing standard, which came into effect on April 26, companies with a market capitalization of ₩500 billion (US$449.26 million) and above will now need to submit only one assessment, with a result of “A” or higher, from a professional evaluation agency.

HONG KONG – Seoul, South Korea-based Vuno Inc. reported that it plans to list on South Korea’s Kosdaq bourse either by the end of 2020 or early next year, CTO and cofounder Kyu-hwan Jung told the 2020 Bioplus Interphex Korea Conference. After receiving A ratings in the recent technology evaluations by assessment institutions NICE D&B and Korea Enterprise Data, Vuno submitted a preliminary examination application to the bourse on July 28 that is currently underway, the company said.
