Cathvision picks up $7.2M to commercialize EP recording system

Investors in Cathvision ApS are backing the company with an additional $7.2 million to accelerate U.S. commercialization of its electrophysiology (EP) recording system, Ecgenius. The ECG support technology is designed to detect cardiac electrograms with minimal baseline noise so electrophysiologists can accurately interpret complex arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation (AF). In May, the U.S. FDA granted the Copenhagen-based company 510(k) clearance for the system. Read More

Zavation gains support for spinal products with FDA clearance, study results

Zavation Medical Products LLC received FDA 510(k) clearance for its Varisync cervical intervertebral body fusion device. Varisync’s plate and spacer components can be used together or paired separately with other components in the company’s cervical spine portfolio. The clearance follows the release Aug. 10 of in vitro and in vivo results of Zavation’s Labyrinth porous interbody device. Read More
