Digestive Disease Week 2012: Mini Mermaid journeys through digestive tract

A self-propelled capsule endoscope dubbed "Mini Mermaid," which moves forward on the power of a tiny flexible fin and magnet, was safely and painlessly observed throughout the entire human digestive tract in a single examination, Japanese researchers reported this week at Digestive Disease Week (DDW) in San Diego.
