Mazor Robotics (Caesara, Israel), the developer of Renaissance, a surgical guidance system and its complementary products, said that it has received its first order for a Renaissance system from Cordamed Biomedical Engineering (Istanbul, Turkey), its distribution partner in Turkey. This represents the first Renaissance system order in Turkey, and Cordamed will install the system at a prominent hospital in Istanbul.

"Our strategy of working with distributors is demonstrating tangible results, allowing us to expand our presence in key markets," commented Ori Hadomi, Mazor's CEO. "Our Renaissance system enables hospitals to improve patient care with a leading technology, thus raising the standard of the care."

Cordamed has been focused on the minimally invasive surgery (MIS) market since 2006, representing a new generation of medical device companies that have developed leading technology products. Through its analytical experiences in biomedical engineering and a highly experienced post-sales assistance team, it has exclusive distribution rights for most of the robotic surgical systems that improve the quality of healthcare services standards in Turkey.

UHP receives order for HemoStyp

United Health Products (Westbury, New York) said that its distributor, Critical Health Products (Marimom, West Australia), has placed an initial order for HemoStyp gauze products. The order was placed following Critical Health Products' notification that HemoStyp has been granted TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) approval. The TGA is a Commonwealth Government agency that regulates medical devices and drugs in Australia.

This initial stocking order will be followed by quarterly product orders in 2014, each expected to exceed $250,000 as Critical Health Products launches its sales campaign.

The company will subsequently tap into its management's extensive experience and relationships with the Australian Armed Forces.

Critical Health Products intends to work with these parties and groups in similar business segments in each of its licensed geographic areas (Australia, Oceania, and South East Asia).

Douglas Beplate, COO of United Health Products said "We have laid an initial foundation with recently executed agreements with our first three distributor/partners (dental, US military + worldwide equestrian, and Australasia) and look forward to expanding on that base when we enter the international dialysis market in 2014."
