David Handler was named president/CEO of Corindus (Natick, Massachusetts). Before joining Corindus, Handler spent more than 20 years at General Electric. Corindus makes patented vascular robotic systems designed specifically for percutaneous applications.

• ConvaTec (Skillman, New Jersey) said that Michael Steadman will join ConvaTec as president of the company's wound therapeutics business unit and Nino Pionati has been named president of the company's Ostomy Care business unit. Steadman joins ConvaTec from DFB Pharmaceuticals, where he was group president and COO of DFB Branded Pharmaceuticals. Pionati has been with ConvaTec since 1998, and most recently was senior VP of global marketing & business development.

Sameer Bhargava was named chief technology officer of PureSafety (Nashville, Tennessee). Prior to joining PureSafety, Bhargava was VP of software development at Kaplan Compliance Solutions.
