Cordis is a Johnson & Johnson (New Brunswick, New Jersey) is develops interventional vascular technology.

Bjorn Larsson has been named vice president of global marketing for Mentice (Gothenburg, Sweden), a supplier of solutions for medical simulation. Before joining Mentice, Larsson held global leadership positions at Astra Zeneca, Novo Nordisk, Medtronic and Astra Tech.

• Scient'x (Paris) reported the expansion and strengthening of its global management team. Recent additions to the Scient'x team include Ann Custin, who joins the company as COO/CFO. Jerome Rolland joins as VP of operations. He will be responsible for direct management of both international and U.S. operations. David Leonard has been named director of U.S. operations and Chris DeNicola joins Scient'x as U.S. vice president of sales.

• USGI Medical (San Clemente, California) reported two management appointments. The company has named Bart Bandy general manager of its new Flexible Surgery Division, focused on supplying the company's Incisionless devices to surgeons for use in natural orifice translumenal endoscopic surgery and single-port procedures. Also, John Cox has been promoted to general manager of EndoSurgery, the division of the company focused on expanding the use of USGI's incisionless devices within the GI tract.
