• Rick Smith was named president/CEO of Allocade (Menlo Park, California). Prior to joining Allocade, he was senior VP of global sales and marketing for the ultrasound business group at Siemens. Allocade specializes in patient flow management in hospitals.

• Rina Wolf has been named VP of reimbursement and regulatory affairs at Axial Biotech (Salt Lake City). Most recently, she held the same post at RedPath Integrated Pathology. Axial Biotech makes spine care products.

• Thomas Dugan has been named president, North American Business, for Smith & Nephew's Advanced Wound Management (St. Petersburg, Florida) division. Dugan joins Smith & Nephew from SonoSite, where he was senior VP, global marketing and U.S. sales for the past three years. Smith & Nephew specializes in orthopedic reconstruction, orthopedic trauma and clinical therapies, as well as endoscopy and advanced wound management.
