Cardiac Science (Bothell, Washington) said that it has been selected to join the Russell 3000 Index. Selection to the Russell 3000 index means Cardiac Science is automatically included in the Russell 2000 Index, which measures the performance of approximately 2,000 small-cap U.S. securities.

"We believe our inclusion in the Russell indexes will provide our company with greater visibility to a broader range of potential investors," said John Hinson, president/CEO of Cardiac Science.

Cardiac Science makes diagnostic and therapeutic cardiology devices.

RadNet to join Russell 3000 Index

RadNet (Los Angeles) is set to join the broad-market Russell 3000 Index when Russell Investments reconstitutes its comprehensive set of U.S. and global equity indexes on June 27, according to a preliminary list of additions.

Annual reconstitution of Russell's U.S. indexes captures the 4,000 largest U.S. stocks as of the end of May, ranking them by total market capitalization. Membership in the Russell 3000, which remains in place for one year, means automatic inclusion in the large-cap Russell 1000 Index or small-cap Russell 2000 Index as well as the appropriate growth and value style indexes. Russell determines membership for its equity indexes primarily by objective, market-capitalization ranking and style attributes.

RadNet provides diagnostic imaging services through a network of 162 fully-owned and operated outpatient imaging centers.

Siemens Healthcare opens new radiopharmacies

Siemens Healthcare (Malvern, Pennsylvania) has opened two new radiopharmacies in Las Vegas and Pittsburgh.

These two new facilities will produce imaging biomarkers that are a component of PET-CT tests used to diagnose cancer and cardiac and neurological ailments.

PETNET Solutions, a fully owned subsidiary of Siemens Medical Solutions USA, operates the largest PET radiopharmacy network with 50 radiopharmacies and distribution centers in the U.S., Korea and the UK that produce and distribute PET radiopharmaceuticals to hospitals, clinics, and research facilities for PET imaging.

The new facilities produce and supply the required radiopharmaceuticals to area hospitals that have PET-CT, which will help ease the burden of healthcare providers to produce their own radiopharmaceuticals.
